Severe thunderstorm watch for Waterloo Region

severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Waterloo Region and surrounding areas.


Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.

Severe thunderstorms are possible until later this evening.

Main threats are damaging wind gusts near 90 km/h and hail.Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.

Reminder, when you see an approaching storm please take cover.  “When thunder roars, go indoors!”
