Keeping Waterloo Region Safe

Pandemic
Region of Waterloo Emergency Measures GAMES

In Ontario, an "emergency" is defined as:

"A situation or impending situation that constitutes a danger of major proportions that could result in serious harm to persons or substantial damage to property and that is caused by the forces of nature, a disease or other health risk, an accident or an act whether intentional or otherwise".

Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, 2006

Emergencies do happen…

Emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere.  By preparing for emergencies, individuals and communities can reduce the impact emergencies have on our lives and property.

In Waterloo Region, we are fortunate to have municipal and regional governments who work together to coordinate emergency response plans specific to our area.
